We are a private psychology practice offering services to adults, couples, adolescents, children and families. Position summary

Northern Psychology Centre is looking for a recent/upcoming clinical psychology graduate, or current Psychologist with a General Registration (or pending registration) who wishes to enrol in the Clinical Registrar Program, as per the requirements of the Psychology Board of Australia. The role will require the Psychologist to see approximately 25 clients per week under the GP Mental Health Care Plan scheme. Complimentary supervision (40 hours per year) will be provided by two Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisors.

Qualifications

The successful applicant must hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology with general registration as a Psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) or capacity to register.

Practical requirements

• Capacity to register for a Medicare provider number.

• Professional Indemnity Insurance.

• Working with Children Check (if required).

Skills and abilities

• Must have the ability to self-manage case notes, letters to referrers, report writing and to work in accordance with Medicare requirements.

• Ability to work autonomously and to be reliable.

• Have good communication and rapport building skills.

• Have a genuine interest in the well-being of patients.
